Business and Consumer Advocacy
Members will have access to elected officials, government agencies, and law enforcement in the City and County of Los Angeles through our monthly Roundtable Discussions, Public Policy, Safety, and Environmental initiatives. The LASCC lobbies City, County, and State officials for laws and regulations that are favorable to small businesses and residents in South L.A. communities.
Public Policy, Safety, and Environment (P.S.E.)
The mission of the (P.S.E) initiative is to educate community leaders and small business owners on federal, state and local legislative, law enforcement, and environment issues that will affect their quality of life in South L.A. The Initiative invites special guest speakers to Business Roundtables, in order to educate and inform members on current policies and regulations. The P.S.E Initiative works to develop strong relationships with elected officials and public agencies, and advocates on the Chamber’s public policy positions. The P.S.E initiative will lobby City and County officials for laws and regulations that are favorable to business owners and community residence.
Consumer Advocacy is tasked with developing community oversight committees to advocate on behalf of their concerns, interests, and expectations.

The L.A. South Chamber (LASCC) would like to help insure your success in the services your business provides. In order for that to occur, we need subject matter experts such as yourself in your industry to vet and review current law or proposed legislation and other policies in order for LASCC to support good legislation or oppose poor legislation.
