"Networking is the identification and building of relationships for the purpose of sharing information, opportunities, and resources (with emphasis on building relationships and sharing). Why is networking important? Networking is important because all of life is about relationships. All of life is about working with and serving others."
Dr. George Fraser

The Los Angeles South Chamber of Commerce (LASCC) is a non profit 501(c)(6)
organization, that serves as the voice of business in the South L.A. and South Bay communities.  The LASCC was founded in 2016 by local businesses and community stakeholders in South Los Angeles, CA. We have organized platforms of services to build business relationships, and create economic growth. LASCC is funded through membership dues, private donations, fundraisers, and sponsorship.

LASCC serves Four (4) South L.A. City Council Districts (8, 9,10, &15)
(See Maps), and Two (2) South L.A. County Supervisorial Districts, Second(2nd)
CLICK Here for Map 1, Map 2 , and Fourth (4th) District Click Here for Map , along with two Service Planning Areas (SPA) 6 & 8 (See Map here).

Our Mission is to develop and sustain economic growth in South L.A. communities through small business development, entrepreneurship, advocacy, community engagement, financial literacy, health & wellness education.

The L.A. South Chamber of Commerce provides avenues to network, training and
program development; help influence public policy; and advocate legislative issues that will improve the quality of life for the entire community. Our Goals are to provide the "Best Experience" for our Members by offering outstanding programs, productive events, and sustainable resources. The LASCC delivery platforms are;
Business Development, Networking, Advocacy, and Community (HOPE).

A Chamber of Commerce membership is a proven investment to grow your business, provide a competitive edge, and improve the quality of life within your local community. The Los Angeles South Chamber of Commerce (LASCC) Members will benefit from several programs and resources throughout the year. We are an active Chamber of Commerce, with a business model of Cooperative Economics and Collaborations. We understand the value of working together for a mutual benefit, in order to better serve our members and community.

The LASCC has Four (4 Pilars) platforms of service delivery;

Networking
The LASCC provides numerous opportunities for members to increase their contact base, community presence, and prospective customers, through various monthly networking events, programs, and community initiatives (HOPE). In addition, the LASCC is dedicated to success of our Members by utilizing and referring their products and services through our Membership Directory and Magazine (L.A. South Connections).

Business Development
The LASCC helps new and established business owners stay ahead of the curve, remain competitive, and increase their bottom line. Every month, Members may take advantage of our numerous small business development classes, roundtables, and business updates at a minimal or no charge with topics ranging from marketing and taxes to small business financing. Learn how to start, sustain, and grow your small business through LASCC Small Busines Services, our Entrepreneurship Training Courses & Webinars, and with our business partners; The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at El Camino College, Pacific Coast Regional (PCR), the L.A. County A.C. Bilbrew Library, the Small Business Administration (SBA), and L.A. City & L.A. County Economic Development Divisions.

Advocacy
Members will have access to elected officials, government agencies, and law enforcement in the City and County of Los Angeles through our monthly Roundtable Discussions, Public Policy, Safety, and Environmental initiatives. The LASCC lobbies City, County, and State officials for laws and regulations that are favorable to small businesses and residents in South L.A. communities.
The LASCC Advocates for Small Businesses, and serves as a platform to build business relationships. Many businesses in South L.A. are not connected to their local
government representatives, neighboring businesses, or community stakeholders.
Fostering new relationships creates unlimited opportunities to grow a business.

Community Outreach - #HOPE - Helping Other People Everyday
LA South HOPE Foundation is our community outreach to connect resources, products, and services to South L.A. residents, small businesses, and entrepreneurs, in order to foster better relationships, and help residents along with small businesses become self reliant, sustainable, and to thrive. Therefore, our HOPE (Helping other People Everyday) programs offers support to community residents, local businesses, and aspiring entrepreneurs seeking to start their own business.

Our Chamber Ambassadors are Volunteers/Apprenticeships (i.e. Students, Retirees,
and Community Stakeholders) selected by the LASCC Board of Directors to support HOPE community initiatives, membership campaigns, and act as public relations liaisons.

Small Business is the backbone of our local economy, and we admire those with the
courage to live their dream through business ownership.
