Advocacy & Government Relations
The mission of our Advocacy initiative is to educate our members, community stakeholders, and local businesses on federal, state and local legislative, law enforcement procedures, and environment issues that will affect the quality of life in South L.A. communities. The Initiative invites guest speakers to Business/Community Roundtables, in order to educate and inform our members on current policies and regulations. Our Advocacy Initiative works to develop strong relationships with elected officials and public agencies, and advocates for our Members public policy positions. We will lobby City, County, State, and Federal officials for laws and regulations that are favorable to business owners and community residence.
Entrepreneurs Institute & Youth Training Programs
The Entrepreneurs in Training (EIT) program is design to promote, recruit, and train aspiring Entrepreneurs. EIT will also support existing small businesses to become competitive, sustainable, and profitable. This is accomplished by introducing students, residents, and small businesses to LASCC resources and programs.
The LASCC Entrepreneurs Jr. (EIT Jr.) program is design to promote, inspire, and train youth (ages 8yrs-18yrs old) into a career of Entrepreneurship. EIT Jr. will provide mentoring, workshops, field trips, expo's, and training for aspiring entrepreneurs.
