Advocacy - Public Policy, Safety, and Environment (P.S.E.)
The mission of the (P.S.E) initiative is to educate community leaders and business owners on federal, state and local legislative, law enforcement, and environment issues that will affect their quality of life in South L.A. The Initiative invites special guest speakers to Business Roundtables, in order to educate and inform members on current policies and regulations. The P.S.E Initiative works to develop strong relationships with elected officials and public agencies, and advocates on the Chamber’s public policy positions. The P.S.E initiative will lobby City and County officials for laws and regulations that are favorable to business owners and community residence.
The Entrepreneurs in Training (EIT) program is design to promote, recruit, and train aspiring Entrepreneurs. EIT will also support existing small businesses to become competitive, sustainable, and profitable. This is accomplished by introducing students, residents, and small businesses to LASCC resources and programs.
Financial Literacy Education
"Education is the key to Unlock the golden door of Opportunity" ...George Washington Carver. Education is the foundation to develop a vibrant community. LASCC will partner with our members that support Financial Literacy educational programs. Through our HOPE Initiatives, we will support Apprenticeships, Internships, and Grants for Businesses and Non profits in South L.A./Southbay communities.
We welcome your Volunteerism, Collaborations, and Donations (Time, Talent, and Treasure) to support South L.A. community development.
Thank you for your support!
